Who we are
LocaYo came from a simple observation: most things we own sit unused most of the time. A drill used 3 times in life. A tent once every two years. DJ equipment gathering dust in the basement. Meanwhile, someone in your area is looking for exactly that — and buying new.
We're building a service where you can rent out what you have, find a pro or a job, post an item for sale — or find what you need — in your area. And if you don't have time to pick it up? The owner can deliver to your door. Contact, agreement, payment — between you, the way it worked before the era of intermediary platforms.
We don't mediate payments or disputes. We don't hold your money for 7 days. We don't take 20% commission. You get the tools (calendar, chat, reputation, reporting module) — but the transaction is yours. Always.
LocaYo is a product developed by Next Orbit OÜ — an Estonian technology company based in Tallinn. We start with Poland: Polish, English and Ukrainian versions, EU legal compliance (DAC7, DSA, GDPR, P2B), infrastructure within the Union. We operate on a model where the user matters more than the intermediary — zero rental commission, zero fund holding, zero hidden terms.
Our Mission
Make renting easier than buying. Connect people. Protect the planet. Save your time.
From concept to platform
Key milestones in building LocaYo and Next Orbit OÜ.
2024
Platform concept
European short-term rental market analysis. Gap diagnosis: classifieds lack rental tools (calendar, deposit, reputation), while intermediary platforms take 20-30% commission. Decision to build a hybrid product — professional-grade tools with a zero-commission model.
2025
Build phase
Platform architecture, EU-hosted infrastructure, legal compliance from the first commit: DAC7, DSA, GDPR, P2B. Modules: catalog, booking calendar, chat, reputation system, delivery module, admin panel.
2026
Public launch in Europe
Next Orbit OÜ registered in Tallinn (Estonia) as the platform operator. Launch in Poland: rentals, jobs and pro business cards, and local classifieds since September 2026.
2026+
Scaling
Growing in Poland: each city as its own local community, more service and classifieds categories. Other countries only when there is demand.

Questions we hear most often
If yours isn't here — write to us in help
No. With us, a well-made listing stays visible all the time — no more renewing every few days, no more wasting your time like on other platforms. You decide: a listing is on or off, you can pick specific days of the week when it should appear, and even set a date range (e.g. "hidden 1–14 July — I am on holiday") and the system deactivates and reactivates it for you. We are here for you — so you have more time and more money.
No — here listings are shown on rotation. They do not drop down just because someone added a newer one. The algorithm shows them randomly on the homepage and at the top of the list, so even a listing from two months ago regularly comes back in front of customers. You do not have to think every day about how to land on the first page — just make a solid listing once: good description, specific tags, good photos. The platform does the rest.
LocaYo is a product of Next Orbit OÜ (registry code 17501338) — an Estonian technology company based in Tallinn (Sepapaja 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia). We build the platform with the European local rental market in mind — under EU law oversight (GDPR, DSA, DAC7, P2B). Business and user support contact: form at /help, response time within 48h.
We operate under European law (GDPR, DSA, DAC7, Platform-to-Business). For you, this means clear data protection rules and full EU compliance — regardless of which country you use us from. Formal details are in our terms and privacy policy.
Airbnb is accommodation, Vinted is clothing, OLX is classifieds. We have rentals with a booking calendar, jobs for pros, business cards and free local classifieds — in one account, with no rental commission.
From paid listing highlights and business plans (Bronze 99 PLN and Silver 250 PLN a month incl. VAT, Gold priced individually). The account, rentals and sale classifieds are free.
For now we operate in Poland, in Polish, English and Ukrainian. More countries will follow when there's demand.
Loca — from "local" (locally). Yo — short for "you" (You). Locally, in your area. The sound works in most languages — easy to pronounce, hard to forget.
