How LocaYo works
LocaYo is four different things under one address. Pick the one that matches why you are here — each has its own detailed guide.
Job board
You describe what needs doing. Contractors from your area come to you, and you pick one of them.
- Posting a job costs nothing
- Only the contractor you choose gets your number
- Instead of calling ten people, you wait for them to reach out
You have a specific job to get done and no appetite for an evening of phone calls.
Contractor profile
Your company page at locayo.app/fachowcy/your-name: what you do, how far you travel, photos of finished work and a number one tap away.
- Free, and no tax ID required
- Clients call you directly, not us
- We do not sell your number or your leads
You work in construction, electrics, IT, transport or cleaning and you want to be findable.
Renting things
A plate compactor for one weekend, a marquee for a party, a trailer for moving house. You borrow from someone nearby instead of buying.
- You pay for the days you use it, not for the whole machine
- Pick-up in person, or delivery if the owner offers it
- You can also list whatever is gathering dust in your garage
You need something for a few days and buying it makes no sense.
Local classifieds
For sale, free, swap, jobs. Type a title, we suggest the section, and your ad reaches people nearby.
- Free, with no limit on the number of ads
- Stays up 45 days and renews itself — it does not sink in a feed
- You choose how people reach you: chat, phone or email
You have things someone nearby could use, or you are looking to hire.
What all four have in common
Whichever route you take, a few things work the same way.
The same account posts a job, creates a contractor profile, rents a drill and sells a bike. There is no separate sign-up for “clients” and “contractors” — those roles overlap in real life.
You do not start with a registration form. You fill in what you came for, and at the end you confirm your email with a code, or sign in with Google or Facebook. No password needed.
Everything revolves around a town. A job reaches contractors within at least 100 km — or further if they say they travel further.
We introduce people and give them tools. Payments, contracts and any disputes stay between you — we run no escrow and no mediation.
We never put numbers in the page source. On the job board contact opens mutually once you pick a contractor; in the directory it opens on a deliberate click by the client.
After the work is done you rate each other. A review comes from a real job, so it cannot be bought or left “just in case”.
How this differs from lead-selling portals
The question contractors ask us most often. It comes down to one thing: what the service actually sells.
| LocaYo | Portal that sells leads | |
|---|---|---|
| Posting a job | Free | Usually free |
| Contractor replying | Free | Paid — for the contact itself |
| How many contractors get the same job | They come to you, the client picks one | As many as buy the contact |
| Contractor number in the directory | Visible on a click once signed in | Hidden — the contact is the product |
| Commission on completed work | None | Depends on the service |
| How the service earns | Optional boosts and business plans | Selling client contacts |
This is not an attack on that model — it makes sense when a service takes on the cost of finding the client and wants paying for it. We bet the other way: contact stays free, and you only pay if you want to be seen higher. For a contractor on a thin budget that is the difference between “I will try it” and “I cannot afford to find out”.
Frequently asked questions
How is LocaYo different from portals that sell client contacts?
On lead-selling portals the contact is the product: the portal collects an enquiry and the contractor pays for the mere chance to answer it — often alongside several other firms bidding on the same job. Here posting a job is free for the client, and a contractor pays nothing to respond. In the contractor directory it is simpler still: the number is visible on a click once signed in and the client calls directly. We earn from optional promotion of profiles and listings, not from your phone calls.
What does using LocaYo cost?
Posting a job, creating a contractor profile and listing something for rent are all free. We take no commission on jobs or rentals. The free plan covers up to 5 rental and service listings, and local classifieds (for sale, free, jobs) are free with no limit. Paid options are boosts and the Bronze (99 zł) / Silver (250 zł) plans with higher limits.
Do I have to create an account?
Not to browse jobs, the contractor directory or rental listings. An account appears only when you want to post something or message someone, and it is created along the way: with an email code, or via Google or Facebook. There is no separate “register first” step.
Does LocaYo handle payments?
No. We are a listings service — we introduce the two sides and give them tools to talk. You settle between yourselves, as with any other agreement. We hold no deposits, we do not arbitrate disputes and we are not a party to your contract.
Does LocaYo work in my town?
The service covers the whole of Poland, but density varies — bigger cities simply have more jobs and more contractors. It is still worth posting a job even if the directory shows few local firms: it also reaches contractors within at least 100 km.
Who is behind LocaYo?
Next Orbit OÜ. The service is aimed at the Polish market; company details are in the terms of service and the privacy policy.
